Londonderry and Lough Swilly Kerr Stuart

Page history last edited by Ian Stock 15 years ago

Neil Ramsay

A 15mm scale model of one of two Kerr Stuart Locomotives supplied to the Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway in 1904.

They were originally named Aberfoyle and Richmond, but later simply numbered 9 and 10, the latter surviving until the lines closure in 1953.

The model is  gas fired and radio controlled, and built by John Campbell, with lining by Brian Badger in the original pre WW1 livery. The loco is built to haul a train of my Swilly and Burtonport Extension rolling stock, also in Edwardian livery, and just visibe in the second picture.
